Preheat oven to 350. Grease 3 x 9 baking pan. In a saucepan over low heat, melt 4 oz. of chocolate and butter, mix and cool completely. In a separate bowl, beat eggs and salt until foamy, then mix in sugar. Once the chocolate and butter mixture cools, stir in sugar and egg mixture until just blended. Blend flour and cocoa and stir into batter until barely mixed. Add 1/2 cup chopped chocolate and walnuts (optional). Pour into pan and bake for approximately 25 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and allow brownies to cool completely before cutting into squares.
