Selecting Coffee Beans

our guarantee
When the world market prices are low, farmers must produce more, even when it is ecologically unsound, in order to earn needed income.

Coffee, cocoa, and sugar prices fluctuate constantly on the world market. The price for cocoa, for example, can vary from $800 to $2500 per ton (2206 pounds). This does, of course, create a very unstable situation for the small-scale farmers who make their living from this crop. They usually harvest between 1100 and 1600 pounds annually, thus making about $400-$1800 per year from cocoa.
